Almond Valley MSP Angela Constance was delighted to attend the Graduation ceremony at West Lothian College on Saturday 29 October 2022. West Lothian College welcomed over 250 graduates and 550 guests to it’s biggest ever graduation ceremony. It is also the 21st anniversary of the College moving to the purpose built Livingston campus.
Ms Constance was honoured to be able to present awards for Faculty of Business, Creative and Enterprise Student of the Year to Zoe Foster (HNC Professional Cookery) and Faculty of Care, Health and Sport Student of the Year to Kirstie Hosie ( HND Childhood Practice).
During the ceremony, Ms Constance was able to meet with the higher education students who completed qualifications at SCQF Level 7 and above and share the achievements and success as well as the difficulties faced studying through difficult times with the pandemic.
Acknowledging the challenges faced by the students, Ms Constance said:
“ It was a pleasure to attend the graduation to celebration the success of all students,whose achievements are all the more special given we are still recovering from the pandemic. Staff and Students have shown a real determination to succeed and I want to express my congratulations And wish all students every success for their futures. We are fortunate in West Lothian to have a highly regarded college on our doorstep that is helping to give students the best start or a new start to their working lives.“
