Voluntary organisations in West Lothian and across Scotland are being encouraged to apply for new emergency funding. The £50 million Wellbeing Fund introduced is designed to assist local organisations who are working with people affected by the covid 19 pandemic. Expressions of interest should be submitted to the Scottish Council of Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) and more details can be found on the Coronavirus third sector information hub on the SCVO website. https://scvo.org.uk/funding
In welcoming this new fund Angela Constance MSP said -
“This much welcome funding comes on top of a £350 million package to help a wide range of organisations to adapt their services to provide vital support in our communities. This new £50 million fund will help to continue this work and also support new services to help get folk through the pandemic. I am pleased that the Scottish Government continues to value and support our voluntary organisations who have been quick off the mark in providing essential support to the most vulnerable. My thanks to the vast number of volunteers across West Lothian who are giving of their time and talents to support others through this crisis.”
